The effective treatment method for managing pain of various anatomical structures using the special neurointerventional technique of cryoablation  was presented by MUDr. Michal Adam, the head physician at EuroPainClinics Brno, during a medical seminar at the Faculty Hospital in Olomouc. 

The goal of this seminar was to present in detail the method of cryoablation - a specialized technique for effective long-term pain relief. By applying very low temperatures, it affects the pain pathway at the level of sensory nerves. It can be used in correctly indicatedpatients by pain management specialists, orthopaedic and traumatology surgeons. 

The seminar was organized by the distribution company DMS and the Pain Center of the Department of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care, Olomouc University Hospital, under the guidance of the Chief physician MUDr. Mark Pieran and MUDr. Šárka Fritscherová, Ph.D., Deputy Head of Medical Care. As part of the established cooperation, a pilot cryosurgical facility for the cryoablation technology will be implemented at the faculty in the course of 2022.
